Brent up $1 on growing Greece optimism

Brent rose $1 to $125.12 a barrel on Thursday, spurred by optimism that Greece might secure a bond swap key to averting an immediate default on its debt.

By 10:32 SA time, Brent crude futures were 76 cents up at $124.88 per barrel, having climbed earlier to an intra-day high of $125.13 per barrel.

US crude futures were 56 cents firmer at $106.72 per barrel by the same time. - Reuters
