US corn futures traded higher on Tuesday‚ boosted by hot‚ dry weather forecasts for the Midwest and a government report showing declining crop conditions‚ Dow Jones Newswires reported.

The gains come after five corn futures contracts - from July delivery to May 2013 delivery - all settled up the exchange-imposed limit of 40 cents on Monday‚ driven by dry weather forecasts. Corn futures were also buoyed after the US Department of Agriculture on Monday said 56% of the country's corn crop was in good-to-excellent condition‚ down seven percentage points from a week earlier. - I-Net Bridge
