On September 28, the Supersport Park Stadium in Centurion will come alive with the sounds of praise and worship as radio broadcasting legend Thabo Molefe, known to his fans as Tbo Touch, hosts the 3rd Replenishment Concert.

This event, now in its third year, is not just another gig for Tbo Touch but a heartfelt project close to his soul. Tbo Touch, 43, is deeply rooted in spiritual piety, coming from a family that has always placed God at the centre of their existence.

He sees the Replenishment Concert as an extension of the ministry he provides through his popular Metro FM afternoon drive show, the TouchDown, particularly during the Replenishment hour on Mondays.

“Given the pedigree of leadership I come from with my family, being born in a family that has always put God in the epicentre of everything, our existence, our drive. I'm the fourth generation of spiritual piety for me," says Tbo Touch.

The Replenishment hour, scheduled intentionally on Mondays, aims to uplift listeners who may feel judged or segregated by traditional churches.

Tbo Touch explains, “I’m talking to those people on a Monday for an hour to say regardless of how bad your week was, you are strategically placed between last week and the week to come to be the best person right now.”

He emphasises the significance of Monday, the start of the week, as a time to declare one’s goals and set a positive trajectory. “Monday is a powerful day. You can speak life or death in your week on how you turn or handle your Mondays,” he adds.

The Replenishment Concert has grown in popularity over the past three years, attracting notable attendees, including King Misuzulu Zulu of the Zulu Nation.

The event features a diverse line-up of praise and worship performances, including international speakers like Jamaican minister and Pentecostal bishop Noel Jones.

Musician and pastor Kabelo “Bouga Luv” Mabalane will grace the stage as a guest speaker.

This year’s headline act is the legendary gospel singer Dr Rebecca Malope, who is set to receive a special honour during the concert.

Tbo Touch reveals, “Let's not take it for granted that this iconic mama needs to be honoured and acknowledged by us, who are in the position of power to talk to millions of people about her journey because if we don’t do it, her story will be distorted.”

With two decades of concert-organizing experience, Tbo Touch maintains high standards for the Replenishment Concert, regardless of the music genre or performers.

“The replenishment, first of all, is an entity independent of who’s performing. People buy tickets to Coachella regardless of who's on stage, being on stage is secondary,” he says.

The concert has evolved into a full-fledged experience, complete with a fashion element featuring local designers. Tbo Touch envisions an event where attendees can enjoy spiritual and entertainment experiences without judgment.

“Isn’t it beautiful to be hit by a spirit in the place where you are also entertained and nobody’s judging you because you’re not at Pastor so and so’s place?” he muses.

The Replenishment Concert also caters to families, offering a kiddies section with Bible games and spiritual activities led by trained au pairs.

“Kids equally leave, spiritually built as you would as a parent and I’m trusting in our trained au pairs to do a diligent fair job in how to communicate Bible lessons to kids,” Tbo Touch says.

Gospel singer Mmatema and popular MC, Sipho “Alphi” Mkhwanazi will host the Replenishment Concert, which over the years has supported three Ministries, providing them with music systems and drum kits.

Tbo Touch’s passion for the entertainment industry has fuelled his successful two-decade career, and he continues to nurture his content business while inspiring the next generation of stars.

“I’m just obsessed right now with who I am and my love for the ministry. I’m glad I’m bringing people close to God. Every day on the power of that microphone. I love radio. It allows me to minister to people and I’m excited that SABC supports my efforts.”

With a dedicated and ambitious team, Tbo Touch hopes to inspire even more people and spark the emergence of future stars.

“Maybe we can spark a bigger Tbo Touch coming out of Khayelitsha or Mdantsane and that person will be far more successful than we can imagine and I am here to trigger that thought,” he concludes.

The 3rd Replenishment Concert promises to be a powerful and transformative experience for all who attend, blending spirituality, entertainment, and community in a unique and uplifting way.
