Gloria Ngcobo and Tristen Naidoo get ready to take on the Tropika Island of treasure challenge against other contestants in Zanzibar for a chance to win their share of a small fortune.

Juice brand Tropika launched their Tropika Island of Treasure in 2011, a reality show that sees celebrities paired up with the normal everyday South African to get a chance at competing to win one million rand.

Coming back for its 11th run, this season’s competition will be based in Zanzibar. The teams will take part in various events and try their best to win. Meet two inspiring individuals making waves in their respective fields.

Gloria Ngcobo, who is from Durban and currently a full time content creator , is a fitness enthusiast, environmental advocate and social media content creator. Her commitment to health and wellness extends beyond personal goals, as she promotes healthy living through social media.

Ngcobo’s passion for sustainability showed in her participation in beach clean-up campaigns and encouraging others to live eco-friendly lives. Her posts have racked up a number of of views ranging from 700k to 1.4 million. Reflecting her infectious enthusiasm for wellness and fitness.

Outside of fitness she also enjoys fashion. Blending her love for style with her advocacy for health and wellness, proving that you can still stay fit while looking good. When she is not leading community initiatives or sharing fitness tips, Gloria can be found dancing with joy on social media, embracing the freedom and expression that movement brings.

She was announced as one of the contestants on Thursday.

Tristen Naidoo, a 23-year-old Johannesburg-based boxer, is making a name for himself in the South African boxing scene. Based in Johannesburg he has a BCom in Marketing management.

Naidoo combines athleticism with business acumen, his passion makes him a rising star in the world of boxing. He’s set to compete for the junior lightweight title on September 15th , showcasing his skills and determination at the Portuguese Hall in South Johannesburg.

Outside of boxing, he partakes in outdoor activities like travelling, fishing, and exploring nature, ensuring he stays in peak physical condition. He was announced as a participant on Friday.

Both Ngcobo and Naidoo are change makers inspiring others to live healthier, more sustainable lives. They continue to show dedication to making positive change and marking themselves as valuable sources of motivation to those around them and those watching them.

As they continue to pursue their passions, these Mzansi fitness enthusiasts are proving that success can be achieved through hard work, commitment, and a willingness to make a difference.
