Durban - Two well known stores, one a popular retailer and the other a well known liquor store, were both robbed in separate incidents on Friday just minutes apart in the Durban South area.

Provincial police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nqobile Gwala said it was alleged that the first incident occurred on Friday at 11.30am.

“A group of unknown armed men entered the business premises on Titren Road, took cash and also robbed the customers of their belongings,” she said.

Gwala said the circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.

Forty minutes after the retailer was robbed, the liquor store was robbed less than 5km away.
