This is Toyota's official teaser pic of the "extensively revised" 2012 Avensis sedan, ahead of its world debut next week at the Frankfurt motor show.
In what it says is "the largest mid-life investment Toyota has made for any model", the whole front end is new, in a crisp interpretation of Toyota's new design language that includes LED daytime running lights.
A new bumper and tail lights tighten up the Avensis' rear, while the interior has been completely re-trimmed with more upmarket finishes for greater perceived quality.
Toyota also says it has made "strategic changes" to the engine and transmission line-up, and retuned the suspension - full details at the presentation on Tuesday (September 13).
