Designed to pleasure what Nissan refers to as being among the most demanding customers in the world, Nissan has unleashed a harder-edged, more track-focused version of its beastly GT-R.

Sorry to burst your bubble if you were expecting even more power, but Nissan has chosen to stick with the recently revised 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 in its current guise, which is still epic with 405kW and 632Nm on command.

This 'Track Pack' does come with a whole bag of goodies to improve its performance on the track, however, starting with suspension spring rates that have been revised to be optimal for circuit use, although they can still be adjusted for more comfort when you're on the road.

What's more, the brakes are cooled by additional cooling ducts built into the front bumper, which reduce the operating temperature of the front brake discs by as much as 100 degrees during track use. Similar ducts, hidden behind the rear wheels, channel cooling air over the rear discs.

You'll be able to tell this harder GT-R apart by its six-spoke RAYS alloys with gloss black painted centre sections, while the interior gets a more serious makeover. Nissan even removed the back seats to save weight, while the two occupants in the front get to sit on Recaro race seats with blue bolsters and a high grip material designed to keep them in place during hard cornering.
