Honda's legendary NSX supercar is set to return and Honda has just made it official by announcing that the concept version will make its appearance at the Detroit Motor Show in the first week of January next year.
That's as much as they're prepared to reveal at the moment, the accompanying release not even including a photo - but we do have a photo on hand, taken during the filming of the latest Avengers film.
One thing's for sure though - this next NSX is going green. In September this year, Honda CEO Takanobu Ito confirmed that the new NSX would be quite different in character to its purist forebear.
According to international media reports, this NSX is likely to be powered by a mid-mounted 3.7-litre VTEC V6 engine, driving the rear wheels, with a disc-shaped electric motor inside each front wheel - altogether producing at least 300kW and bucketloads of torque.
It should be super light too, thanks to an aluminium body.
