Johannesburg Motor Show - Honda cars could be called cute (the S600 was cuteness personified), cheeky (the Brio), macho (Civic Type R) and even elegant (the original Prelude and the new Accord spring to mind) but never sexy. Until now.
The Honda NSX Concept is not only a glimpse into the supercar future, it's also undeniably sexy, with clean, sensuous curves and a low, wide stance.
A mid-mounted direct-injection petrol V6 drives the rear wheels, mated to a high-performance hybrid system that combines torque vectorng all-wheel drive with hybrid efficiency by using three electric motors, two of which drive the front wheels.
SPORT-HYBRID DRIVE
The petrol engine drives the rear wheels via a dual-clutch transmission that includes the third electric motor, while the sport-hybrid drive system instantly delivers negative or positive torque to the front wheels during cornering to keep the NSX going exactly where you aim it.
The production version of the NSX is expected to make its global debut during the course of 2015.
