The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (Prasa) has announced a special train service for soccer fans to attend the much anticipated game between Bafana Bafana and Uganda Afcon qualifier on Friday.
The highly anticipated game is set to take place at Orlando Stadium, in Soweto, on Friday, September 6.
Soccer fans will get the opportunity to watch Bafana Bafana when it goes head to head with Uganda, in the stadium as train services will be provided.
Prasa spokesperson, Andiswa Makanda, said they will be rolling out special services to soccer fans to attend the highly awaited game.
Makanda says the special train service aims to ease traffic congestion, parking hassles, and ensuring an enjoyable experience for fans.
“Prasa will run dedicated train services connecting key stations to Orlando Station,” she said.
She said the train services will run on routes including from Park Station to Orlando Station, Naledi Station to Orlando Station, New Canada Station to Orlando Station and Midway Station to Orlando Station.
“Fans are encouraged to purchase their train tickets at their nearest stations for a fare of R14.50 for a return trip.”
She advises the spectators to adhere to the train schedules to ensure timely arrival and departure from the stadium.
