As the roll-out of the Covid-19 vaccine continues to gather steam in South Africa with the expansion to the 12-17 age group cohort, there still appears to be hesitancy affecting the jab.

Government officials, religious organisations, civil rights groups, the media as well as ordinary citizens have issued a rallying call for South Africans to get the vaccine in order for life to return to some semblance of normalcy and for the economy to fully reopen.

Research has also shown that the mortality as well as hospitalisation rate of those who got the jab are significantly reduced.

But there are still many who are reluctant to get the jab, with the anti-vaxxers movement increasing.

In a bid to address this, Redhill School in Morningside, Sandton will on Wednesday, host a webinar.

Their ‘Covid Vaccine’ stream will include the jab’s safety concerns, development process, ingredients, efficacy.

It will also discuss how statistics related to the jab can be misinterpreted and how to analyse information about the vaccine critically.

The speakers will also unpack the relationship between social responsibility and vaccination as they also debunk myths associated with the coronavirus jab.

The webinar is open to the public and is open to the public, free of charge.
