TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic has left the Rockets to join North African giants Raja Casablanca, setting up a reunion with arch-nemesis Rhulani Mokwena in Morocco.
TS Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi confirmed the news of Ramovic's departure from the club to SABC Sport, stating that the German mentor will also be taking members of his technical along with him to the the Botola Pro champions.
“It’s a done deal. Ramovic is expected to fly out after the friendly with Yanga FC and he will take with him the two assistant coaches, Beganovic Adnan and Kodro Mustafa, as well as goalkeeper coach Greg Etafia,” Sukazi said.
Ramovic's, appointment comes just a week after former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer, who had managed to help the "Green Devils" to clinch the league title unbeaten, vacated his position as head coach of the side, saying he was confident his successor will continue where he left off.
"It is hard to take this step, but I am confident my successor will continue our successes. I wish Raja Casablanca much success in the Champions League and beyond and will always follow the team’s progress. My journey will lead back to Morocco when I can help the country and the team," said Zinnbauer.
Ramovic appointment in Morocco also comes just weeks after former Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rhulani Mokwena joined Wydad Casablanca.
Mokwena had been Ramovic have been engaged in a bitter feud, however, things escalated during a DStv premiership encounter between their two clubs in May where the police had to intervene after their benches clashed.
Ramovic and TS Galaxy had also threatened to sue Mokwena over comments he made in which he alleged the German and his players had planned to intentionally injure Bongani Zungu as some sort of revenge ploy.
Zungu had previously injured veteran striker Bernard Parker during another match in the same season.
As Ramovic joins Mokwena in Morocco, it seems that the beef between them has no end in sight.
