Creekers, it’s that time of the year again. “Up The Creek” is back, and you know the drill — grab your tents, your dancing shoes and your best party spirits because the festival is about to serve up another unforgettable experience!

The 2025 edition is going to be a special one, with a whole lot of excitement building up to its 4-day summer festival in February.

Last year in October, things got pretty interesting when South African artist Jeremy Loops and BreakOut Events founder Damon Forbes shook up the Creeker world.

Loops and Forbes are taking full control as festival owners, ready to sprinkle some new magic on this iconic event. They’ve got tons of experience and, together with the original team, they’re set to bring even more local flavour and an exciting international twist to the festival.

Early Bird tickets? They came, they went! On August 23, Creekers rushed to snag those golden tickets and, in true Creeker style, they were sold out in just one hour! With less than six months to go, the countdown to Up The Creek 2025 is officially on!

"Up The Creek“ started in 1990 and has only gotten bigger and better as this year’s festival saw a massive crowd of over 2 500 people —second only to the record-breaking attendance in the event’s history!

But no worries, the festival still keeps its intimate vibes, with a cap at 3 000 Creekers, ensuring lekker local music, killer food, short queues, and a vibe like no other.

Mark your calendars for February 6-9 when the festival will once again return to its original home on the banks of the Breede River, just outside Swellendam.

You can expect the usual top-notch local music scene, but this time, for the first time ever, “Up The Creek” will also feature an international act straight from Australia.

Featuring Australia’s Hollow Coves alongside local stars Francois Van Coke, Matthew Mole, The Black Cat Bones, Albert Frost, Droomsindroom, Die Piesangskille, Unyazi, Ben Dey, Murray, Lucy Kruger and the Lost Boys, Warongx, Freddy L, and Luukhanyo & The Hii Rollers.
