Johannesburg - Three lucky Absa customers’ lives have been changed after each of them drove away with a new car as part of the bank’s “Rediscover Real Living” campaign yesterday.
“For us, ‘Rediscover Real Living’ was a calling. We want to grow our business but we want to show when we say we partner with South Africans, we mean it,” said Absa head of strategic marketing, retail and business banking, Vongani Mageza, at Toyota’s Bryanston dealership.
As part of the campaign launched in July, the bank ran a competition to give away five new Toyota Starlets to three lucky winners. Yesterday, they were handed the keys to their cars and also gifted a year’s free car insurance.
“It takes a great group of individuals to come together to put something as beautiful as what we witnessed here today. It’s been an incredible journey, and we’ve touched many lives,” said Rorisang Thandekiso, MC and host of the I Can with Absa Drive TV show. Absa head of transactional banking Omar Baig said the bank was there to enable customers; and this was a small expression of it doing that.
