‘Tropika Island of Treasure’ takes to Zanzibar with star-studded contestants

“Tropika Island of Treasure” makes a thrilling return for an 11th season, showcasing a sun-soaked adventure as the reality show gears up for its premiere against the stunning backdrop of Zanzibar, an island in Tanzania.

In addition to exciting challenges and star-studded entertainment, the award-winning reality show promises the highest reward in the history of the competition: a shared R1 million and a brand-new Suzuki Jimny for every member of the winning team.

Seven ordinary South Africans will embark on the journey of a lifetime, trading their daily routines for the exotic island paradise.

They will be paired with and compete alongside a thrilling line-up of celebrity contestants, Chad Jones, Nqobile Khwezi, Ndavi Nokeri, Karl Kugelmann, Hungani Ndlovu, Roxy Burger, and smooth serenader Bobby van Jaarsveld, as they battle it out in a series of exhilarating physical and mental challenges.

The show hosted by South Africa’s media darling, Zanele Potelwa, is set to premiere on September 28 on SABC 3, promising to be bigger and better than ever, with jaw-dropping challenges, unexpected twists, and heart-warming moments.

Gloria Ngcobo

Dimakatso Jane Calisa

Calisa, a 31-year-old University of Johannesburg alumna, is a dynamic Centurion resident known for her adventurous spirit, engaging in thrilling activities like rock climbing and bungee jumping.

Buntu Matshaya

Matshaya, a 34-year-old Johannesburg resident and University of Free State alumnus, is a renowned personal trainer and fashion model, combining his passions in fitness and style to inspire and motivate others.

Ryan Cummings

Cummings, a Cape Town-based physiotherapist and CEO, is a key innovator in healthcare and business leadership, combining clinical expertise with executive acumen to advance physiotherapy practices and establish himself as a key figure in the field.

Tristen Naidoo

At just 23-years-old, Naidoo is making a significant impact on the South African boxing scene. Based in Johannesburg and armed with a BCom in Marketing Management, he combines his athletic prowess with business acumen, setting a strong foundation for success both in and out of the ring.
