Durban - As you approach the Cavern Berg Resort, the gentle arms of nature immediately cradle you. It is all around you; hillsides of waving grass hiding families of Mountain Reedbuck, rocky ravines with tumbling waterfalls, Protea-covered slopes, secret places within the forested kloofs. The hotel nestles at the head of the valley, hidden from the main berg but offering grand views and spectacular sunrises.
The friendly reception staff welcome you and from then it just gets better. The food is so good you are tempted to try everything on the menu. Children are welcome, with special entertainment daily. Trained nannies are on hand in the kids’ dining room and for baby-sitting duties.
With all that delicious food, you’ll need exercise and there is a huge choice from gentle strolls to really stiff hikes (your guide will serve drinks and crunchies along the way), tennis, bowls, horse riding, croquet, volleyball, swimming and mountain bike trails.
