The 5-star Hotel Izulu, Ballito, in conjunction with Namaqua wines, invites guests to the launch of the ‘Jus Jazzing Restaurant Week’ on Friday July 1 for a fun, casual evening of ‘market stall’ food stations from 5:30pm onwards which is all part of the annual Ballito Prawn Festival.
Guests will be entertained during the evening by live jazz music while meandering through the food market stalls where they may purchase food items individually and a cash bar will be available although no bookings will be taken for this evening.
The ‘Cold Stall’ will offer items such as West Coast oysters at R12 each, smoked salmon Blini’s also at R12 or a mezze platter at R45. ‘From the Grill’ presents Focaccia, served with fresh rocket, Parma ham, balsamic reduction and parmesan or olives, artichokes, anchovy’s and capers with fresh rocket and parmesan cheese at just R55.
At the ‘Curry Shop’ guests will find a selection of lamb, chicken and vegetable curries, served in a bunny or roti (with all the condiments) for only R65. ‘On the Braai’ – a selection of lamb or chicken pita’s at R85, whole sirloin carved and presented in a ciabatta roll at R85.
A ‘Fish ‘n’ Chip Shop’ will offer Tempura fish ‘n’ chips at R55 or Tempura prawns ‘n’ chips at R65. And last but not least a decadent Dessert Station with a selection of ice creams and various toppings, served in a cone or a bowl at R45, or homemade doughnuts served with chocolate sauce at R35 or fresh strawberries and cream at R45.
