The Vineyard Hotel and Spa in Cape Town is offering rugby fans a special stay-over package to coincide with this year’s Super XV games being played at Newlands Rugby Stadium.

Roy Davies, general manager at the Vineyard Hotel and Spa, says the huge support that the Western Cape Super Rugby team, the Stormers, enjoys has prompted them to set aside a limited number of rooms over those weekends that the team is playing tournament games at Newlands. “We invite rugby lovers for a restful night and rejuvenating breakfast at Vineyard Hotel, only a stone’s throw from the stadium.

“You can enjoy a complimentary draft beer in the lounge upon your arrival and then head over to one of our renowned in-house restaurants if you’re feeling peckish. In the morning, you can tuck into one of our famous breakfasts before heading back home.”

The Stormers have five remaining Super XV games at Newlands this season:

Against the Cheetahs on 12 May

Against the Waratahs on 19 May

Against the Lions on 30 June

Against the Rebels on 14 July

The special package only applies to the Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays that Stormers games are being played at Newlands.

The rugby package is available at R550 per person sharing or R750 for a single, and includes breakfast. Space is extremely limited so fans are encouraged to book as soon as possible.
