Greeting the change of seasons with a sophisticated flair, the Grand Café in Cape Town has once again launched its Grand Wine Evenings starting with world renowned Peter Falke wines on Thursday, 26th May.

To be held at the Grand Café in Camps Bay, the Grand Wine Evenings with Peter Falke will combine an elegant three course set menu with specially selected wines from the Stellenbosch-based wine farm.

The Peter Falke estate boasts two ranges of world class wine, namely their 'Signature range', with its contemporary mirrored label, designed to attract the discerning wine connoisseur, while the 'PF range' embodies relaxed, stylish sociability, with a light multifaceted character that plays on the senses.

The chosen wines for the evening will be paired with Chef Seelan's unique flavour combinations, including tea-smoked Franschhoek Salmon served with crème fraiche on homemade sweet bread as a light canapé, prawn & kingklip cakes with a wasabi lemon to entice the taste buds before moving on to a choice of mains including the sliced fillet with warm mustard and brandy sauce served with rocket & crushed warm potatoes or the malay-style kingklip curry served with saffron braised onion & sultana rice.

To round off a perfect winter's night out, the Grand dessert will feature Italian bread-and -butter pudding or freshly sliced season fruit served with passato.

This exclusive event will be limited to 20 seats. It is recommended to reserve a seating in advance in order to avoid disappointment.

Set on one of the world's most beautiful coastlines, the Grand Café on Victoria Road in Camps Bay offers a seductive atmosphere paired with an old world charm that one rarely finds on beachfront venues. Inside await crimson red roses that adorn retro-antique furniture and copper topped bars, while aged candlesticks sit next to polished glassware and plain white crockery decorated with angel wings.
