A grand marquee stretched over the lawns at Franschhoek’s Huguenot Monument will, once again, be the hub of the Magic of Bubbles Cap Classique and Champagne festival, taking place on December 2-4.

This has become a place to be seen as much as an occasion to sample local Cap Classiques and imported champagnes.

The bubbly stalls alternate with those of local restaurants whose chefs compete in creating irresistible delicacies designed to complement the bubbles in style.

The fest runs from 6-10pm on Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. The 2011 black and white theme focuses on hats, and prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed couples. The entrance fee of R180 includes a glass and tasting coupons. Children under 18 enter free. Buy your tickets at www.webtickets.co.za.

Once capacity is reached in the marquee, no further tickets will be sold.
