With a penchant for seasonal and local produce and time-honoured cooking techniques given a contemporary twist, Reuben learned much of what he knows from his own mother and lunch at his restaurant is a mouth-watering treat for the whole family. Priced at R295 per person, R150 for 4-12 years and complimentary for 0-3 years. The buffet lunch is served from 12.30pm to 3pm.
Evenings-only restaurant Nobu will be entertaining Moms in style for lunch as well this Mother’s Day with their mouth-watering a la carte menu as well as Mother’s Day Bento Boxes (from R275 per Bento Box).
All mothers will also be treated to a complimentary selection of beautifully crafted petit fours as a finale to this Asian culinary spoil. Nobu will be open for lunch from 12.30pm to 3pm and dinner from 6pm to 11pm.
Time for tea
Afternoon Tea in Vista Bar & Lounge is a spoil any day of the week but this Mother’s Day promises to be extra special, thanks to Executive Pastry Chef René Simatos and her talented team of bakers and sugarcrafters efforts.
The Afternoon Tea theme this Mother’s Day will be ‘Marvellous Vintage’. Harking back to an era when very social engagement was a lavish affair, guests can expect to be greeted with a table dressed for the occasion in suitably vintage décor along with a lavish selection of old-fashioned sweet and savoury delicacies and classic favourites such as strawberries and cream Victoria Sandwich.
For the chocolate loving Moms, adding a Lindt Chocolate Fondue to the Afternoon Tea experience is a must! Afternoon Tea is priced at R165 per person and is available from 2.30pm to 5.30pm.
