Best-selling SA author Wilbur Smith visited the Sanbona Wildlife Reserve near Barrydale in the Little Karoo for the shooting of a series of videos to promote his new book, Those In Peril.
Smith, who grew up in the African bush, spent a day at Sanbona and saw elephant, rhino, hippo and antelope, as well as plant and bird species.
Those in Peril tells the story of an oil heiress who fights to get her daughter back after the family yacht is seized by pirates in the Indian Ocean with 19-year-old Cayla aboard.
The book goes on sale in April.
* According the the Sanbona website, the reserve is situated at the foot of the Warmwaterberg Mountains in the heart of the Little Karoo.
