Having conceded just one goal in the four matches they have played so far this season, Golden Arrows will be confident of shutting out AmaZulu in the second leg of their MTN 8 semi-final derby at Chatsworth Stadium on Saturday night.
AmaZulu have no option but to attack to clear the 2-1 deficit from the first leg last Sunday and will no doubt draw confidence from knowing they are the only team to have scored against Arrows this season.
But Arrows coach Manqoba Mngqithi will not only look for uncharitable defence on Saturday night, he will also call for solid attacking from his men.
It's not Arrows' style to take a back seat and defend. They like their opposition to feel their presence and almost every player in the team is capable of contributing to an attacking move.
Mngqithi said: "There is no reason to sit back and there's a very good chance that we can be even more offensive."
Striker Richard Henyekane comes back into the picture tonight after he sat out Wednesday's 2-0 league victory over Jomo Cosmos, while Siyabonga Sangweni returns to the defence after he was rested for that match.
"Obviously, we are going to attack them," said Henyekane.
Both clubs are happy not to have any suspensions.
AmaZulu are likely to have Kalililo Kakonje back in goal after an injury forced him out of the club's 1-0 win over Platinum Stars in the league at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Wednesday, where Usuthu gladly kept a clean sheet for the first time this season.
Coach Neil Tovey said his men were definitely up for the challenge on Saturday night after being boosted by their win over Stars.
"It was difficult to play the league match on Wednesday and have one eye on the Cup game, but it was a very pleasing result and a morale-booster," he said.
AmaZulu's desperate need for goals means strikers Brad Ritson and Ayanda Dlamini will have to play out of their skins, and midfielders such as Ntokozo Sikhakane and Litha Ngxabi also need to chip in.
"You will see a different AmaZulu against Arrows," added Tovey, who was happy to have all his regular defenders available for only the second time this season.
Tomorrow, Kaizer Chiefs will look to bounce back from two successive losses when they take on Ajax Cape Town in the second leg of their semi-final at Orlando Stadium.
Amakhosi, who lost 1-0 in the first leg last Saturday and then went down to SuperSport by the same scoreline in the league on Tuesday, are without goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune owing to a long-term hand injury, but will be comforted by the possibility of attacking midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala and striker Jose Torrealba returning from injury.
