“Inimba” fans can get ready for some more drama as things are about to get juicier.
Mzansi Magic has confirmed a 90-episode extension for the show’s first season, starting on Monday, October 13.
And it is not just more episodes. New faces are shaking things up. Sandile Mahlangu arrives as Onga, a charming man who is sure to ruffle feathers at Khusela Tech.
Samkelo Ndlovu joins as Lillian Gumede, a mysterious newcomer with a mission. Luzuko Nkqeto also makes an entrance as Zwelinzima Ngcukana, the strict father of Lazarus, with Tina Jaxa as Nomfundiso Ngcukana, Lazarus’ aunt.
For those who have not yet tuned in, “Inimba” is a gripping drama that explores love, ambition, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child.
The telenovela first debuted on April 14 on Mzansi Magic.
Zoleka Mabandla, played by Lunathi Mpofu, once had everything she could ask for: a promising career, a loving family and a dream job that seemed perfect. However, when her husband, Hlathi (Sisa Hewana), forces her to choose between her career and their family, Zoleka makes a life-changing sacrifice.
The story navigates the clash between past and present, love and resentment, and the consequences of broken promises.
“Inimba is a story that tackles multiple layers: the struggle to balance traditional family life with personal ambition, a mother’s relentless pursuit to restore her family, and the complicated dynamics of relationships marked by betrayal and hurt.
“It is a tale that will keep viewers coming back for more,” said Shirley Adonisi, director of Local Entertainment Channels at M-Net.
The show has already had viewers hooked with Mabandla’s storyline, and the new episodes promise even more twists. Relationships will be tested, secrets will be revealed, and the stakes are higher than ever.
Before the new episodes, fans were treated to a one-hour wedding special. Hlathi and Thumeka finally tied the knot in a much-anticipated episode that had viewers talking.
Their rocky relationship has had more than its fair share of drama, and social media was buzzing with reactions, some cheering and others sceptical if this happy ending would last.
With the extended episodes and fresh faces joining the cast, “Inimba” looks set to continue keeping fans glued to their screens.
