Nine years strong: How faith and forgiveness shaped Steffi and Clint van Wyk-Brink's love story

In a deeply moving Instagram post, Steffi van Wyk-Brink beautifully captured the essence of her marriage as she celebrated their “crown anniversary” - nine extraordinary years since exchanging vows on August 9, 2016. 

Reflecting on their union, Steffi expressed, “All I can say is THANK YOU ABBA FOR GRACE ABOUNDING.” 

She celebrated the rich tapestry of their life together, infused with joy, laughter, meaningful conversations, unwavering support, bravery, compassion, forgiveness, patience, and, perhaps most crucially, a profound sense of belonging.

Steffi revealed that love, in its truest form, has transformed from mere words into a powerful, intrinsic force uniting two souls in shared purpose. 

She honoured her husband, saying, “Thank you, @clintonthebrink, for choosing to forgive me for 9 years. For your relentless support and dedication towards our union. I am stronger and better because of you.”

Their love story: from first sparks to family

Theirs is a romance that moves with beautiful swiftness. According to Clint, their connection began with messages in the DMs - not long after they first met - leading to a whirlwind courtship. 

Within a few months of meeting, they tied the knot, just a month after his proposal. Their wedding took place in a beautiful open setting attended by friends and family, complete with lace gowns and elephants making guest appearances - truly magical. 

Welcoming their greatest chapter yet: parenthood

Their partnership blossomed into parenthood with the arrival of their daughter, Arielle Harmony Brink, born in 2023.

Steffi reflected on the journey leading up to parenthood with gratitude and excitement, calling their unborn daughter a “true miracle” and writing that “the past 6 years, 9 months, 1 week and a day with you have been nothing short of magical.”

Today, Steffi and Clint embody a shared commitment to fitness, faith and family unity.
