In recent years, a growing number of music artists have shared their baptism experiences publicly.
For many, the moment is not only a personal milestone but also a declaration of faith.
Some view it as a fresh beginning after years in the music industry, while others embrace it as a way to anchor their lives and artistry in something deeper than recognition or success.
Baptism, for these artists, becomes a bridge between spirituality and creativity, shaping both their personal journeys and the music they continue to produce.
The latest to step forward is Stogie T, born Boitumelo Molekane. Earlier this week, he reflected on his baptism in a heartfelt message posted to social media. “To descend and rise alongside my son was to witness, across generations, the mystery of grace,” he wrote.
“A reminder that faith isn’t inherited by blood; it’s chosen. Through this act, we say we surrender what we can’t fix and step into what only God can give. Buried with Him, raised with Him, kept by Him. Thank you, Jesus.”
His reflections resonated with fans and peers, who responded with encouragement and blessings.
Fellow rapper Kid X commented, “This is so dope. Bless up, family.”
DJ Voodoo added, “The concerts in heaven are gonna be LIT. God's richest blessings.”
Levi Moagi offered a prayer, writing, “The Lord bless you and keep you, make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you and your generations to come. In Jesus’ name.”
Robot Boii also shared his support with, “God bless you and the family, King!”
Stogie T is not alone in finding renewed meaning through baptism.
Earlier this year, Gigi Lamayne also embraced the act of spiritual rebirth. She described the occasion as both significant and life-changing.
Taking to Instagram, she expressed gratitude for God’s faithfulness and the second chance she felt she had been given. “To God be the glory. He is faithful. He is a God of second chances,” she wrote.
In her post, Lamayne gave thanks to her spiritual leaders, family, friends and even strangers who had supported her through personal struggles.
“I’m so glad to be part of such an amazing kingdom. To serve and to be purposeful,” she added, making clear her intention to live with renewed focus and meaning.
She also acknowledged the difficulties she has faced, emphasising the need for resilience and self-forgiveness.
“Through the adversities, forgiving oneself and starting all over, there was another in the fire standing next to me!” she shared.
