Meet "Skeem Saam's" new actress, Relebogile Mothapo, who plays the character of Jacqui Monama.

Mzansi’s favourite soapie, “Skeem Saam”, is opening doors for young talent after the production announced that a new character, Jacqui Monama, portrayed by Relebogile Mothapo, is gracing our screens this week and bringing even more drama.
In a statement shared by the soapie on Tuesday, November 18, the 15-year-old shared that being a part of the beloved soapie is a dream come true for her.
“I’ve always wanted to tell stories that make people feel something. Being part of ‘Skeem Saam’ is a dream come true.”
The soapie shared that the rising star, who hails from Hweleshaneng, Ga-Mphahlele in Limpopo, will make her debut on Wednesday, November 19.
“Skeem Saam” further shared that Mothapo will play Melita Monama's (Hellen Motsuki’) teenage daughter, who is a smart, outspoken, confident and sharp girl who grew up without her parents.
While navigating through school and identity, Monama battles with feelings of abandonment and shame towards her mother.
Melita's affair with Mr Kgomo (Lebohang Elephant) kept viewers glued to their screens.
Although their love story had many viewers upset because a family was ruined, many loved how well Motsuki nailed the character.
From just being a mistress, who was simply after Mr Kgomo’s money, to fighting with anyone who wanted to get in the way of having Mr Kgomo all to herself and finally getting married.
Although they tied the knot, Melita abandoned her children after their home caught on fire, making Mr Kgomo and his son, Paxton, her priority.
In addition, the soapie revealed that the young talent will bring even more drama and a new storyline.
The soapie shared: “'Skeem Saam’ proudly welcomes Relebogile Mothapo, a bright young talent who joins the soapie as Jacqui Monama. She’s set to make her unforgettable entrance on ‘Skeem Saam’ on the 19th of November, marking the start of a storyline fans won’t stop talking about.”
“Skeem Saam” cast members and fans celebrated the newest addition to the Turfloop community.

While Motsuki commented, “My baby girl. Relebogile, I am so proud of you. Welcome to the family. As you start with this amazing journey, know that I’m here to protect you, support you and love you every step of the way. Shine bright, my love, you’ve got this.”
