American rapper and musician performed at the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival and wore local designer Thebe Magugu.

In September, American musician and rapper Lauryn Hill was in South Africa for her performance at the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival.
During her visit to the country, the Grammy award-winning musician interacted with different South African from a fan meet and greet to even a surprise performance at a club.
Hill, took to Instagram to reflect on her time in the country, with a highlight video. In her caption she first apologised in isiZulu for the delay in her post. "Uxolo ngokubambezeleka" (Sorry for the delay).
"Dear South Africa,
"The South African people have always been a symbol of resistance, resilience, and inspiration for us. Ngiyabonga kakhulu! 🙏🏾"
Hill explained that her experience in Johannesburg was transformative and remarkable for many reasons: "We made new connections and solidified new friendships — thank you for your hospitality.
"We got to spend time with legendary company — thank you Ndaba Mandela and family.
"We made new African and African Diaspora–forward business associations — siyabonga kakhulu.We were able to meet and engage with our Joburg appreciators directly during our merch pop-up — thank you Zaid and @GradeAfrica."
The "Ex-Factor" musician revealed that her daughter Sara got to visit and support young children at a Joburg school duriing the visit.
Hill also got to work with local renowned designers South Africa’s top designers Thebe Magugu and MaXhosa.
Hill wore a custom striking Sotho-inspired red and black suit, with ostrich feather sleeves and Isicholo headpiece. The print is part of the Mafeteng Capsule which launched in September.
African luxury brand MaXhosa Africa dressed the Hill’s backing vocalists and dancers.
