The long-awaited day has finally arrived for Maskandi artist Khuzani Mpungose, whose wedding to Nonduduzo Mathenjwa, from Mhlabuyalingana, has been highly anticipated by his fans ever since he first announced the date.

The couple held the wedding at Zunguness Wedding and Conference Centre in KwaZulu-Natal.

The award-winning artist, Mpungose, is ending the year on a high note, seemingly with a "happily ever after," a turn of events that has even earned praise from his rivals' fan base. The artist has been succeeding throughout his career, fighting battles on social media to put Maskandi at the top, even winning Best independent artist in Los Angeles.

Despite his significant achievements and fame, especially within the Zulu community, he successfully maintained a surprisingly private love life, keeping his partner out of the public eye until their wedding day. His wife was only introduced to the public at the ceremony.

Social media was soon flooded with pictures and videos of the wedding, which clearly depicted a deeply in love and happy couple.

Despite his commitment to his Zulu heritage, which he frequently showcases, Mpungose celebrated his wedding with a beautiful white ceremony. Yet, his Zulu spirit shone through during the white entry dance. Mpungose, unable to contain himself, broke into a spontaneous Zulu dance, much to the delight and entertainment of all the wedding guests, including the bride.

Mthandeni Sibusiso Manqele, long considered Mpungose's chief rival, has historically caused a division among fans. These supporters have identified as the "blue nation" (Mpungose's fans) and the "red nation" (Manqele's fans). Despite this customary division, the two fan bases notably united on this occasion to offer their congratulations to Mpungose.

A fan of Khuzani's rival offered congratulations, saying, "Congratulations, guys, it is beautiful, I’m a Red Nation, but it is beautiful, thank you so much."

The celebratory comments poured in on TikTok. Slie kaManyambose Mt praised the wife, saying, "There’s a lot I could say about this sister… that I have learnt from her. She’s polite, doesn’t involve herself in things that don’t concern her… her life is hers (first time seeing her on TikTok yesterday). I wish you all the best.💞💞💞💞🙏"
