Congratulations are in order for Banyana Banyana and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper Andile Dlamini, who took a break from guarding the posts to celebrate love as she tied the knot with long-term partner, Lulama, on December 20.

The couple stunned in traditional and elegant attire, with moments from the celebration shared on social media over the weekend.

From what was posted, the ceremony reflected a blend of cultural pride and modern style, with the couple keeping things simple but elegant.

For the traditional part of the wedding, Dlamini and Lulama wore matching emerald green regalia. The deep green traditional cloth stood out and was personalised with Dlamini’s surname printed across the fabric, adding a meaningful touch to the look.

The coordinated outfits set the tone for the day and paid homage to Dlamini’s Swati tradition without overcomplicating things.

She also serenaded her wife and sang her rendition of the "Hamba Wena (Athandwe)" Gwijo song, which she went viral for during the Fifa Women's World Cup in 2023.

The couple later switched things up for the modern celebration, where Dlamini wore a tailor-made green suit, finished off with gold detailing that kept the look clean.

Lulama complemented her perfectly in a shimmery green off-the-shoulder dress. The gown featured sheer fabric and matching arm gloves that sat below the shoulders.

From the clips shared online, the wedding appeared intimate with close friends and family in attendance.

With this milestone, Dlamini now joins a growing list of Banyana Banyana players who have also found love off the field.

Midfielder and captain Refiloe Jane is married to Christa Kgamphe, while defender Bambanani Mbane is married to her long-time partner Tsholofelo Makgalemele-Mbane.

Both Jane and Mbane were among those in attendance at Dlamini’s wedding, which also featured a live performance by Zandie Khumalo, adding a special touch to the celebration.
