The music world was shocked this week when DJ Maphorisa (real name Themba Sekowe) announced that he is shifting his focus back to Afro house.
The renowned South African DJ and producer recently shared an unreleased Afro house song on his social media and wrote: “Amapiano is in good hands, I am going back to my roots where it all started; AFRO!”
The post sparked strong reactions as fellow artists showed support in the comments.

2. Influencer Kristy Scott files for divorce from husband Desmond Scott
The famous influencer couple has announced that they are getting a divorce, after meeting at age 14, getting married in 2014 and sharing two sons.
Allegations of infidelity surfaced shortly after news of the separation broke, prompting Desmond to address the situation directly on his Instagram Stories.
“I want to begin by apologising to Kristy, our family, and everyone who has been impacted by the public attention surrounding this situation,” he wrote. “I know this news has been disappointing for many, and I'm truly sorry for the hurt it has caused.”

Nonku Williams was among the proud parents who this week commemorated her child, Nothile Williams, passing matric.
