After months of speculation, Nicole Kidman and Simon Baker appear to have gone public with their relationship.
The two actors had tongues wagging after they were spotted holding hands at the New York premiere of their new thrilling series “Scarpetta”.
While the moment was brief, it quickly became the hot topic of the night, with fans reading into their chemistry both on and off the red carpet.
The pair star opposite each other in the crime drama, where Kidman plays forensic pathologist Kay Scarpetta and Baker takes on the role of FBI profiler Benton Wesley.
Their on-screen relationship appears to have translated into a close off-screen bond, something that has only added fuel to the rumours.
Kidman has reportedly previously opened up about their long-standing connection, revealing that she personally pushed for Baker to join the project.
“We have known each other for a huge portion of our lives… I’ve always wanted to do something substantial with Simon,” she said. She added, “And so, it was me going, would you please, please, do this with me?”
Their history goes beyond just work, as the two have been close for years. Kidman has maintained a strong relationship with Baker’s ex-wife, Rebecca Rigg, and even became a godmother to their son.
