Rapper Offset is recovering after being shot in Florida on Monday evening.

According to US media, the incident occurred shortly after 7pm near the valet area outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Authorities confirmed that the rapper sustained a gunshot wound during the incident and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

A representative for Offset, born Kiari Kendrell Cephus, confirmed that he is currently receiving medical care and remains under close observation.

Police reportedly responded quickly to the scene and were able to contain the situation. According to officials, the injury has been classified as non-life-threatening, and there is no ongoing danger to the public.

“Two individuals have been detained by police. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”

While the immediate threat has been addressed, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Authorities have not yet disclosed what led up to the incident, and the investigation is still ongoing.

The “Bodies” hitmaker rose to prominence as a member of “Migos” alongside Quavo and Takeoff,  who was fatally shot outside a bowling alley in downtown Houston following a private party. He was 28 at the time.

The group became one of the defining acts of the past decade, delivering major hits like “Bad and Boujee” and shaping the sound of modern hip hop in the US.

Following the group’s split in 2023, Offset has continued his solo career while remaining a prominent figure in the industry.

He is also known for previously being in a relationship with award-winning rapper Cardi B. The pair share three children: Kulture Kiari, Wave Set and their youngest daughter, Blossom.
