Singer and reality star Londie London is stepping into a new chapter, and this time, she is doing it on her own terms.

Best known for taking over headlines and her time on “The Real Housewives of Durban”, she is now front and centre in her own show, “Life With Londie London”, a show described as a fly-on-the-wall reality series that follows her as she rebuilds both her personal and professional life.

Set to premiere on May 7, the show promises a more personal look at her world, from motherhood to business and everything in between.

Having been part of an ensemble cast before, London shared that her show hits differently because it’s centred around her.

“This show is different because it follows me. I’m at the centre of it, and viewers will get to see more of me and all my different sides. It’s very personal, and I can’t hide behind anyone. I’m front and centre, baring it all, the good, the bad and the ugly,” she said.

The show is set to unpack multiple layers of her life, giving viewers a closer look at the roles she plays every day.

“People will see me as a mother, daughter, businesswoman and girlfriend. You’ve seen some of that before, but now you’ll get a deeper understanding of how I juggle it all.”

For the mother of two, the timing of the show comes from a place of growth and clarity.

“I think I got to a point where I was ready. A lot has happened in my life, and for a long time, people only saw bits and pieces. Now I feel more sure of who I am, so it made sense to tell my story in my own voice,” she explained.

London also let it be known that the show will go beyond the polished image people are used to seeing.

“Viewers will see the real me. Not just the glam or what people think they know, but the everyday reality. The good moments, the tough ones and everything in between.”

Opening up her life to cameras was not easy, especially when it came to showing vulnerability and her children.

“The hardest part was letting people see me when I’m not okay. It’s easy to show the strong side, but this show needed honesty, and that can be uncomfortable. I was also a bit nervous about showing my children, the world can be unkind and protecting them is my biggest priority,” she said.

Motherhood, she said, has reshaped how she approaches everything. London shared that she thinks about the future more and that every decision she makes is about creating a better life for her two children.

When it comes to dealing with public scrutiny, the 34-year-old reality star admits she has had to grow.

“I’ve grown a thick skin. Before, things used to affect me more. Now I understand that people will always have opinions.”

“Life With Londie London” will air weekly every Thursday on Mzansi Magic (DStv channel 161) at 8pm, offering what she describes as an honest look at her journey as she takes control of her narrative and builds a more intentional life.
