Arno Greeff is proving that career pivots do not have to be quiet or predictable. The South African actor  has stepped away from acting for now to focus on real estate and yes, that alone already sounds like a plot twist. But he is not disappearing from television entirely.

Greeff, known for his roles in local hits like "Blood & Water," is part of the refreshed presenter line-up for the iconic SABC 3 lifestyle show returning  April 30.

The move has caught fans off guard in the best way, because he is also recently shifted focus towards real estate, making this one of those “wait, he does what now?” career chapters.

But he is not walking into this alone. The new "Top Billing" era is stacking its presenters with a mix of familiar industry names and fresh energy.

Alongside Greeff, the line-up includes Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi, Miss South Africa 2023 runner-up Bryoni Govender and digital creator Sinemivuyo Mpulu, who will handle the social and online storytelling side of the show.

The show is also bringing back some of its legacy faces, including Michael Mol, Basetsana Kumalo, Jonathan Boynton-Lee, Dr Fez Mkhize and Ryle De Morny, creating a blend of old-school Top Billing charm and a more modern, digital-first approach.

For those who remember the original run, "Top Billing" was the place where dream homes, travel goals and “one day when I make it” energy lived rent free in South African living rooms for nearly three decades.

Now the question is whether this new mix can bring that same sparkle back.

Greeff stepping into presenting adds a fun twist. He carries that smooth, slightly effortless “007 in sneakers” energy, the kind of presence that feels composed without trying too hard.

There is a natural charm there, paired with a light sense of humour that never feels forced, just enough to keep things interesting when the cameras are rolling and things do not go exactly to script..

Greeff brings a mix that actually works in his favour for a lifestyle show, and it is not just about looking good on camera (although let’s be real, that helps too).

Coming from acting, he already understands timing, presence and how to hold a frame without overdoing it. That matters in presenting where you cannot hide behind a script or a character.

Then you add real estate into the mix and things get even more interesting. Property is all about storytelling, selling a lifestyle and helping people picture themselves in a space.

That is basically "Top Billing’s" entire DNA. From dream homes to jaw-dropping interiors, it is not just “here is a house”, it is “here is the life you could have if you behave and manifest hard enough”.
