Megan Thee Stallion is a single lady once again after calling it quits with Dallas Mavericks player Klay Thompson.
The shocking split comes after about nine months of dating, and the 31-year-old Grammy winner did not hold back her feelings about the breakup.
On Saturday, April 25, Megan took to her Instagram Stories to air out the entire situation, making it very clear that infidelity was the ultimate dealbreaker.
The rapper posted a fiery message accusing the 36-year-old basketball star of cheating and stringing her along.
Revealing that she felt completely betrayed after spending time with his loved ones, Megan wrote on her Instagram Story, "Cheating, had me around your whole family playing house... got 'cold feet'".
She went on to call him out for his behaviour during the NBA season.
On her Instagram Story, she wrote, "Holding you down through all your HORRIBLE mood swings and treatment towards me during your basketball season, now you don't know if you can be 'monogamous'????" She closed out her social media rant by declaring, "B*tch I need a REAL break after this one ..bye y'all"

Shortly after her posts went viral, Megan provided official statements to several outlets, including People Magazine and E! News.
In her statement shared, she confirmed the split directly.
She stated, "I've made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there's no real path forward".
Megan also added, "I'm taking this time to prioritise myself and move ahead with peace and clarity".
The messy fallout is a big twist for fans who have been following their seemingly perfect romance.
The relationship started buzzing back in early July 2025 when fans spotted the NBA player in the background of one of Megan's photos.
They made things red carpet official shortly after on July 16, 2025, stepping out together for her inaugural Pete & Thomas Foundation Gala in New York City.
At that very event, Megan was totally smitten. She gushed to Page Six on the red carpet, saying, "I have never dated somebody so kind."
She expanded on her feelings to the publication, stating, "This is my first relationship where I've ever been with somebody who's genuinely a nice person, and he makes me genuinely happy. I just never dated somebody like him before, and I'm just grateful that he's here by my side and he feels the same way about me".
Things seemed to be moving incredibly fast for the power couple.
By October 2025, they were teasing fans with news that they had purchased a house together.
The public romance continued into the winter, with Megan spotted kissing Klay at a Mavericks game against the New York Knicks in January 2026.
Just two months before the split, the athlete went all out for Megan's 31st birthday in February.
Thompson surprised her with a gorgeous powder blue Bentley worth $200,000 and treated her to a lavish tropical getaway in the British Virgin Islands.
Megan had previously posted a carousel of vacation photos thanking him, but she has since completely scrubbed that birthday post from her Instagram page.
It is wild to think how quickly things shifted behind closed doors. In late March, Megan shared a mirror selfie looking cosy with Klay, holding her waist at an NYC event.
She even mentioned that he gave her a sense of peace she had never felt before.
She was also talking about wedding bells in February while congratulating Olympians Hilary Knight and Brittany Bowe.
In a YouTube Short, Megan said, "I love love, that's so sweet. I'm manifesting my engagement too".
She’s now focusing entirely on her mental health, her music career, and her personal growth.
