Sex talk took a turn with Charlize Theron, and there was no coming back once she decided honesty was the only acceptable language.

The actress recently appeared on "SubwayTakes with Kareem Rahma", where she was asked to respond to the phrase “I would like to make love to you”. What followed was a very immediate reaction that made it clear she had no time for romanticised wording.

Theron visibly recoiled at the statement before shutting it down in her signature direct style. For her, the phrase does not land as romantic at all but rather as an instant mood killer.

“Don’t say it”, she said firmly, making it clear there is no scenario where that line works in a real-life conversation.

She went on to explain that it is not about being anti-romance but about the wording itself. According to her, it is the kind of phrase that overcomplicates something that should be simple and honest.

“Just say it how it is,” she added, suggesting that less performance and more truth is always the better option.

Theron also joked that there is something about that phrasing that physically shifts the energy for her and not in a good way.

Other women on the subway segment appeared to agree, turning her reaction into a wider shared moment rather than just a celebrity opinion.

The conversation stayed firmly in unfiltered territory as she made it clear she prefers directness over anything overly poetic or rehearsed. In her view, overthinking language in intimate situations tends to ruin the entire point.

And while this moment has gone viral for its humour and bluntness, Theron has also recently been in the spotlight for a very different conversation around parenting.

The "Apex" actress, who adopted her daughters Jackson and August in 2012 and 2015, has been open about raising them with structure and responsibility despite her global success and reported $200 million net worth.

Speaking on the "Therapuss with Jake Shane" podcast, she explained that her children will not be handed an effortless lifestyle and will instead be encouraged to work and understand independence from an early age.

She even shared that their first car would not be anything flashy, joking that they will likely “mess it up anyway” as part of learning responsibility.

Theron also spoke about using everyday moments as teaching tools, including pointing out customer service workers and early shifts as reminders of what real work looks like.

“I do not want to support them for the rest of their lives” she said, drawing a clear line between love and long term dependence.
