American rapper Lil Wayne is reportedly heading down the aisle. According to reports from “TMZ”, the rapper got engaged earlier this year after proposing to a woman from Indiana who is said to be in her 20s.
The identity of the woman has not been revealed publicly, and the “Lollipop” rapper has yet to comment on the engagement.
The news has surprised many fans, largely because of the age gap and the fact that the 43-year-old rapper has kept his personal life far more private in recent years.
While his relationships once regularly made headlines, little is known about his current romance, which appears to have stayed completely under the radar.
Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Michael Carter Jr., has had several high-profile relationships throughout his career. He was previously engaged to model La’Tecia Thomas before the pair split in 2020. He was also once engaged to singer Nivea, with whom he shares a son.
His dating history has also included relationships with rapper Trina, actress Christina Milian and model Denise Bidot, whom he dated on and off for several years.
Wayne was previously married to Toya Johnson. The couple tied the knot in 2004 before divorcing in 2006, making it the only marriage of his life so far.
The rapper is also a father of four. He has a daughter, Reginae Carter, with Johnson, a son, Neal, with Nivea, a son, Kameron, with Lauren London and another son, Dwayne Michael Carter III, with radio personality Sarah Vivan.
The engagement news arrives as Wayne continues to focus on music. The hip hop star recently teased that his highly anticipated album, "Tha Carter VII", could be arriving soon.
For now, neither Wayne nor his representatives has publicly addressed the reports, leaving fans waiting to see whether the rapper will share more details about the woman who has captured his heart.
In an interview with “Wake Up Barstool”, Wayne revealed that he has a lot of new music finished and hinted that “Tha Carter VII” might be released soon.
The rapper has confirmed that he has music prepared and ready for release. However, he remains undecided on the official title for his next project. He is currently unsure whether to name the upcoming release “Tha Carter VII” or hold that title for a future album.
Wayne previously released his latest album, “Tha Carter VI”, in June 2025, marking a significant return to his legendary album series after a seven-year hiatus.
The 19-track project showcases his signature flow, genre-bending versatility and fearless evolution, featuring an all-star lineup of producers and artists.
Talking to "Rolling Stone"’s Andre Gee at the time, Wayne revealed that his collaborators especially stand out on the new release.
“If there’s one thing about this album that’s different, it’s me approaching it like, ‘Man, what would I sound like on something with such and such?’” he said.
The album boasts an impressive tracklist, with notable features from artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Bono, Jelly Roll, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, MGK, Wyclef Jean, Kodak Black and even his sons, Kameron Carter and Lil Novi.
