Thuli Phongolo's musical journey begins with 'Hai Suka' from her upcoming debut EP 'Avana'

Actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo has entered a new chapter as a musical artist with the release of her first single from her upcoming debut EP “Avana”.
Affectionately known as Thuli P, the personality has collaborated with Kay Invictus, Nia Pearl, and Leandra.Vert on “Hai Suka”, the lead single from the upcoming project.
“We’re officially LIVE ON ALL STREAMS!!! Support up & coming artists 🤪 my first baby, I hope you guys love it!!! ❤️” she celebrated on Instagram.
Phongolo has been in the South African entertainment industry for over a decade, from her start as a young teenager to becoming a woman in her own lane. Her journey started on screen, but in 2017, it evolved into her spinning the decks.
“From ‘Tshisa’ to Thula, presenting on ‘Craz-e’ to landing a role on the iconic ‘Generations’… progressively joining ‘Makoti’, ‘The Republic’, ‘Rockville’ and ‘The Wife’. Each project has shaped my craft and deepened my respect for storytelling,” she reflected in an Instagram post.
“In 2017, I expanded into DJing. That decision changed my life. It has sustained me creatively and professionally and it reaffirmed my belief that reinvention is a strength, not a risk, especially through all the public trials and tribulations.”
The upcoming EP “Avana” is under Phongolo’s record label Avana Records, a home for her music journey and the future voices she hopes to champion. The release date is scheduled for January 23, 2026

“Avana” has five songs and the personality has described the EP as “a celebration of this new chapter”.
