Rapper and reality TV star Nadia Nakai is preparing to release her new single “Really”, featuring Nasty C, a track that addresses the constant criticism and gossip surrounding her.

The song, set to drop on Friday, November 21, is positioned as her musical response to those who have had plenty to say about her personal life and public image.

Nakai has been at the centre of online conversations for months, with fans and critics often scrutinising her lifestyle, relationships and image.

She has faced judgment for her interactions with married men, her revealing social media posts and her outspoken personality on the reality show “Young, Famous & African”.

Recently, a moment from her own show, “Beyond Bragga”, sparked controversy.

During a prank call segment, Nakai phoned producer Zakes Bantwini asking for money, which some viewers felt was inappropriate and disrespectful toward his wife, Nandi Madida.

The incident quickly spread across social media, drawing mixed reactions and reigniting debates about Nakai’s behaviour.

Another incident that fueled speculation was her being spotted cosy with Cassper Nyovest in a club. This added to the ongoing public criticism of Nakai’s conduct and relationships within the entertainment industry.

Her fashion choices and social media presence have also made her a frequent target for negative commentary.

Many have accused her of “seeking attention” by posting revealing photos, with some users labelling her as “cheap” or claiming that she has “lost it”.

Despite the criticism, Nakai has remained unapologetic about her presentation.

In a recent Instagram video teasing “Really”, Nakai shared insight into the meaning behind the track: “So, I’m dropping a new song called ‘Really’, featuring Nasty C, as I’m sure you all know.

"And, you know, the idea of this is, honestly, you know, when people are talking sh#t and you hear that sh#t, everybody comes to you and says, ‘Yo, did you hear what they just said about you?’ And I’m just like, really?”

The teaser has already stoked excitement online, with fans praising her return.

One user commented, “This is going to be a hit,” while another added, “I’m so excited about this one, my sister.”

A third wrote, “She is back again with another banger.”
