Alright hip‑hop heads, gather round because J.Cole (real name Jermaine Cole) just gave the people what they’ve been begging for.  "The Fall Off" has officially landed, and if you know, you know. If you don’t know - well, sit down, be humble and open your ears.

Cole’s been on the block for a hot minute. He’s given us bangers after bangers, introspective bars that make you think, and tracks that slap so hard you swear the neighbours feel it too. Some people tried to sleep on him after the Kendrick vs. Drake drama, but moving on.

Back it up a sec. Cole didn’t just pop outta nowhere. In 2007, he dropped "The Come Up", raw, hungry, showing he meant business. Then came 2009’s "The Warm Up", a mixtape so smooth it made you hit rewind at least ten times just to catch all the bars.

And let’s not forget 2010’s "Friday Night Lights" - that one cemented my love for him. Thought Kanye West invented choir vibes and soulful backdrops in hip-hop? Nah, Cole’s been doing that for years, well, so did everyone else almost, but still.

And now "The Fall Off" is here, a two-disc project: Disc 29 and Disc 39, each representing Cole at different stages of life. He started teasing this project all the way back in 2018 with "KOD", and the whole Kendrick-Drake saga gave him that second wind of inspiration.

In total, Cole has given us three iconic mixtapes and nine studio albums, and now "The Fall Off" sits at the top of that legacy.

Fans took to X to share their thoughts on the album.

@EDDYOTC wrote: J Cole went out with a bang with 'The Fall Off'. Ong, he went 24/24 with no misses. He proved that he’s one of the best lyricists in hip hop history. Goat went crazy on his last album #TheFallOff."

@sabianwendell wrote: "The Fall-Off man. Wow. What a f****** album. Can’t wait to give it more listens, lot to unpack. If this is the end, what a way to end a legendary career. Thank you @JColeNC for everything you’ve given to hip-hop."

@taurusdanielle: "The fall off is literally everything i wanted it to be."
