Usimamane, the Umlazi-born rapper, is set to make waves with his new collaboration featuring American rapper Sexyy Red.

It looks like Usimamane is not slowing down anytime soon.
The Umlazi-born rapper has teased what could be another big international moment, this time linking up with American rapper Sexyy Red.
Sexyy Red gained popularity with her viral single “Poppin” in 2022, which went viral on TikTok and other platforms.
She’s known for her energetic and provocative style and has been making waves in the music scene since.
According to “SA Hip Hop Mag”, a preview of the unreleased song, reportedly titled “50 Bandz”, was posted on Usimamane’s Instagram story but has since been deleted.
The screenshot of the post has been making the rounds, hinting at a high-energy collaboration that blends local and international rap. The song is also said to feature Boity Thulo, adding a familiar local touch to the mix.
Bringing Thulo back into the fold also makes sense. The two have already shown that they work well together on the remix of “Cheque”.
This is not new territory for Usimamane. He has been steadily building his name beyond South Africa, and moments like this show just how far that reach is going.
Usimamane previously collaborated with American rapper Rick Ross on “Dangerous II”, which is on the deluxe version of “20th: Days Before Maud”. That link-up opened the door, and now it seems like more are walking through it.
He rose to prominence with his 2024 single "Cheque," which achieved triple platinum status in South Africa.
His debut album, "20th: Days Before Maud", released in September 2024, broke records for the highest second-day streams in South Africa on Spotify.
Since then, he has continued to grow his catalogue, experimenting with different sounds while keeping his core identity intact.
While there is no official release date yet, the teaser alone has already got fans talking on X.
