Rapper iFani, born Mzayifani Boltina is making another run at the industry, this time with a team behind him.

Taking to Facebook, the Gqeberha-born rapper confirmed that he has signed a management deal with Asanda Empire.

It's a fresh start with structure after years of trying to hold things together on his own.

“ANNOUNCEMENT: I signed a management deal. My lonely days are gone. I’m no longer moving alone, we are an empire now,” he wrote.

According to his announcement, the deal is not just about music. It is a full push. Work is already being lined up across live performances, both locally and internationally, along with music videos, radio and TV appearances and commercial opportunities.

The deal sees him join a new management, a collective he described as a growing force focused on pushing vernacular music, culture and tradition.

That has always been iFani’s lane. His music has never moved away from his Xhosa identity, and this next phase looks like it will lean into that even more, but with better backing this time.

Known for hits like “Shake” and “Iingoma Ezimnandi”, iFani has spent the past few years navigating real setbacks

He has spoken about struggling to complete his album “3rd Quadrant”, even asking fans to stream his music to help generate income to finish the project. At one point, the album was stolen, forcing him to start again.

There was also a long period where he stepped away from the spotlight completely, moving back home and trying to reset after burning through his finances.

With new management in place, the deal gives him structure and a clearer path forward as he looks to reintroduce himself to both old and new audiences.

“Personally, this is a dream come true for me. A chance to reintroduce myself and my music to my old and new fans. A chance to cross borders and go overseas. A chance to shine yet again,” he said.
