Tickets for Scorpion Kings Live have been the talk of South Africa, with fans rushing to get tickets for the highly anticipated concert at FNB Stadium, so much so that the first batch sold out on the first day.

On Tuesday, May 5, Webtickets recorded over half a million users in the queue attempting to secure tickets. The record-breaking number affected the website, making it slow for many users who found themselves in the waiting room for a long time.

Organisers, in a social media post, stated that people hoping to buy tickets would have to wait, as tickets are reserved seating.

"Please note #ScorpionKingsLive tickets are reserved seating, which means it will take a bit longer to buy a ticket since everyone wants to pick the best seats and comparing options to make sure they are seated with friends and family," read the notice.

During a live session on Instagram, DJ Maphorisa, who was later joined by Kabza De Small, responded directly to fans, asking them if the tickets originally reserved for a later date should be made available immediately.

Ticket sales opened for the second time on Wednesday afternoon for the sale of the remaining 40% of tickets. The queue was full, but it calmed down as the waiting period became shorter.

The high demand has Scorpion Kings, which consists of musicians Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa, considering adding a second day, but they will only make the call once tickets are fully sold out. Currently, tickets are still available.
