American actress Kaitlin Olson is returning to our screens once again, as Disney+ has announced that “High Potential” is coming back for yet another season.

After the debut season of the crime-drama series left fans wanting more, the producers have certainly listened.

“High Potential” centres around the life of Morgan Gillory, a single mother of three who is exceptionally intelligent and works as a janitor.

While mopping floors at the LAPD, she flexes her formidable intellect to help solve a case and secures a role in the major crimes division as a consultant, working alongside Detective Karadec.

In the second season, Gillory uses her photographic memory to solve mystery cases, and while at it, she decides to pursue a case that is personal and close to home.

She decides to track down her ex-husband and the father of her first daughter, Roman.

The gripping trailer shows us how Gillory is being haunted by the thought of her ex-husband roaming around the streets of Los Angeles as she tracks him down.

Gillory will stop at nothing to protect her children from him. However, could the Game Maker (David Giuntoli) be working alongside her ex-husband?

The returning cast for the second season includes Amirah J (portrays the role of Ava), Denis Akdenis (Lev “Oz” Osman), Judy Reyes (Selena) and Javicia Leslie (Daphne Forrester).

New faces of the hit series include Steve Howey, who portrays the role of Nick Wagner, a savvy political guy who’s very charming.

Mekhi Phifer joins the series as a mysterious character in the second season.

According to “US Weekly”, the executive producer and showrunner, Todd Hathan, shared that the second season is bringing even more mystery and compelling cases to solve every week.

“We know the audience - and we as the writers - have a big appetite for that serialised mystery. But the challenge is you don’t want that serialised component to overtake these wonderful cases that the audience looks forward to every week,” Hathan revealed.

Season 2 of "High Potential" will premiere on September 17.
