Zozibini Tunzi makes her series debut in 'Bad Influencer' alongside Cindy Mahlangu

Former Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi as Naomi on the upcoming series, "Bad Influencer" will will premiere on Netflix on Friday, October 31.

Former Miss Universe 2019 Zozibini Tunzi will be making her debut in a new local crime drama coming to Netflix at the end of the month. 

According to the streaming giant, "Bad Influencer" follows the life of a single mother and bag counterfeiter, who teams up with a self-obsessed influencer to sell her bags and get herself out of debt. 

Tunzi announced the news on Instagram, sharing pictures of her character Naomi.

"The cat’s out the bag! Meet Naomi, on the new series ‘Bad Influencer’ coming to Netflix on 31 October. Chile, her smirk already has me stressed 👀 I’m so proud of my first series role🥹♥️ The show is incredible, the cast is impeccable! You’re gonna love it all. I hope you’re sat!🔥."

Tunzi is no stranger to the screen. 

She has previously starred in the 2022 film, "The Woman King", and executively produced and hosted "Crown Chasers", South Africa’s first-ever Miss South Africa reality show on SABC3.

She was also a contestant on "The Masked Singer South Africa" as Robot.

"Bad Influencers" features A-listers such as Jo-Anne Reyneke, who plays the single-mother BK, Thapelo Mokoena and Cindy Mahlangu, among others.

Mahlangu also posted pictures of her character on Instagram alongside the caption: "Star girl, lead girl, thee girl. 💕 Meet Pinky on the new series, ‘Bad Influencer’, coming to Netflix on 31 October."

Fans can't wait to see Tunzi in her first series role.

Local media personality K Naomi Phakathi commented: "Almost had a heart attack, congratulations mama…can’t wait to see you on screen!😍🙌🏽🔥."

Social media influencer, dancer and reality TV star, Kamohelo “Kamo WW” Pule, said: "I genuinely can’t get over this!!! Waiting for NAOMI😍😍😍."
