Sometimes it’s best to just stay in your lane. Sure, it’s tempting to dabble in everything: business, fashion, law, reality TV, but not all of us were built to wear every hat at once.

Kim Kardashian, I’m looking at you: lawyer, businesswoman, designer, stylist, reality star … what’s next? Astronaut?

Anyway, the reality star-turned-actress has been catching serious shade on social media and, well, Rotten Tomatoes for her latest series, "All’s Fair".

Oversold, overhyped, and underwhelming, the Ryan Murphy series about an all-female divorce firm landed with a thud.

The cast is stacked, though: Kim Kardashian, Naomi Watts, Niecy Nash-Betts, Teyana Taylor, Glenn Close, and Sarah Paulson. You’d think that alone would guarantee magic.

But picture Kardashian's voice from their reality series, flat, emotionless, lacking any real inflexion.

Now transplant that into a scripted drama with no expression, no spark, not even the sexy scenes land. It’s like chewing a bland salad you’re forced to eat because of “health”, but secretly hate.

Despite the powerhouse names in front of and behind the camera, critics were ruthless. "All’s Fair" debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with a shocking 0% score. The plot was called thin, the writing disjointed, and Kardashian’s acting… well, let’s say it didn’t help.

While the other actors, actual actors, "tried their best," Kardashian’s performance overshadowed everything, even with a crooked script.

There are reasons, though. Firstly, she isn’t an actor by training. Secondly, on "The Kardashians", she was open about barely getting any sleep while shooting the series, juggling lines, scenes and her usual chaos.

Thirdly, maybe she’s simply trying to do too much. Between creating thongs with pubic hair (yes, really) and every other venture, it’s exhausting just keeping up with her.

Still, not all the blame belongs to Kardashian. Critics made it clear that the show’s failure isn’t hers alone.

One critic wrote, “It’s all just painfully hard to watch … it’s beneath everyone involved, even Kardashian, who mostly seems bored. She’s not alone. The absurdity occasionally earns a guffaw, but it’s not enough to offset the tedium.”

All isn't bad; there are fans of the show who highlighted the positive sides to the series.  @viniciuxsz took to X and wrote:

"#AllsFair is being victimised by sexism. It's a show that isn't afraid to be bad; it reminded me of old ABC dramas. It's a very fun show to watch because it's over-the-top and bad without apprehension, and that's fantastic."

While another wrote: "All’s Fair may boast a harrowing 0 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, but at least Sarah Paulson is giving it 100 percent. PERIOD!"

At the end of the day, "All’s Fair" is a reminder that even the most famous names can’t save a weak script, and sometimes, staying in your lane isn’t such a bad idea.
