The media and content creators were invited to an overnight stay at the new season 6 Big Brother House.

The one word that perfectly describes and sums up my time at the "Brother Bazozwa House" is "fun".

I honoured the invitation to experience and see the new Big Brother Mzansi house along with fellow media colleagues and several content creators.

At first, it was nerve-wracking knowing that you are going to meet new people with different personalities, and as someone with horrible anxiety, it lingered longer.

Content creators such as Anika "The City Makoti" Dambuza, Nomakhwezi Mafunda, Bafana Mthembu and Nompumelelo "Mprudie" Nkosi also joined us for the one night stay.

I suppose I was overthinking the overnight stay, because upon arrival at the Multichoice offices in Randburg, the atmosphere was immaculate and everyone was nice.

From there, we travelled to the Red Peppers Studios, where we met some of the production team for this season of "Big Brother". Since we were going to the house to experience it just like the new housemates would, our phones were also taken.

Then we were blindfolded as we travelled to Biggie’s house.

Everyone was blindfolded when we were heading to Big Brother's House.

When we arrived at the house, and the blindfolds were removed, we were surrounded by vibrant paintings on the walls as well as the stunning interior decor.

We had a brief meeting where everyone introduced themselves, and we also had to share a fun fact about ourselves. I introduced myself, and my fun fact was: “It is crazy how I am shy and have anxiety, but I am a journalist.”

To my surprise, almost everyone said, “You? Shy? Never!” LOL.

After introductions and once everyone was settled in, we were joined by the show's host, the one and only Smash Afrika.

Smash Afrika joined us for a brief moment during the night.

He also matched our vibe, and we all had fun as we introduced ourselves and interacted with him before he left us.

Anyway, for the rest of the night, the vibes were immaculate, we all got along so well, and everyone was just enjoying themselves.

We also enjoyed a delicious food buffet, drinks and a pool party. Some people relaxed in the jacuzzi, while others socialised around or in the pool.

Oh, and for some musical experience, Biggie gave us some cool headphones that consist of three different music stations, which played three genres: amapiano, hip hop and gqom.

So if you were tired of listening to hip hop, you could easily switch to another genre without complaints or bothering anyone.

Of course, in Biggie’s house, there will always be a dash of drama. There were a little bit of catfights here and there, but before we left, it was all resolved quickly.

In the morning, we were served breakfast before we were given 15 minutes to leave the house.

Just like this season's tagline, "Bazozwa" sizwile ngempela!

Needless to say, this one-night stay was definitely an experience for me, and I would do it again!
