South Africans with a taste for fine drinks are in for a treat.
In Johannesburg, The Only Spirits Show will offer the chance to explore everything from gin to cognac under one roof.
Meanwhile, on the Cape West Coast, the first Darling Whisky Weekend promises a full weekend of global whiskies, masterclasses and seaside hospitality - all in support of a local non-profit.
Whether you’re a seasoned whisky lover or simply curious about premium spirits, these events are tailor-made for discovery and delight.
A spin-off of the famed Whisky Show, this more intimate gathering turns attention to the wider world of spirits - think tequila, mezcal, cognac, brandy, gin, rum and liqueurs. Over 50 different products will be available to sample.
Each exhibitor offers multiple complimentary tastings, and a selection of spirits will also be available for purchase by the glass. It’s designed to be accessible to both seasoned connoisseurs and newcomers eager to broaden their palates.

Darling Whisky Weekend is more than just sipping, as all proceeds go to The Darling Trust, which supports education, skills development and wellness in disadvantaged local communities. It’s a celebration of flavour, culture and purpose.
Choose from five small-group sessions, each hosted in unique local venues:
Unlimited whisky tastings (excluding a special “DRAM Table”), prizes, and an area to purchase bottles. The DRAM Table will feature rare and vintage whiskies sold by the shot.
A relaxed brunch in Darling Brew’s Tasting Room, pairing West Coast flavours with premium drams. Hector McBeth will share stories and insights as the weekend draws to a close.
