City Praise 2025

“Worship the King” at the City Hall offers a weekend of contemporary and classic Christian worship, uniting Cape Town voices for an extraordinary night of praise to be enjoyed by the whole family.

The event features a full band, a choir and a symphony orchestra with special guests including Kirk Kirkland from Nashville, USA, Jennifer Lee from Cape Town and the choir of Sweet Valley Primary School.

When: Saturday, August 30, and Sunday, August 31, at 7pm.

Where: The Cape Town City Hall.

Lekker Cheese and Wine

Indulge in a delightful weekend at the Italian Club’s Lekker Cheese and Wine event, where you can entice your taste buds with artisan cheeses, exquisite wines and enjoy live music.

When: Saturday, August 30, and Sunday, August 31, from 10am to 4pm.

Where: The Italian Club of Cape Town.

Blisters for Bread

This iconic annual fundraising event offers sees includes two scenic routes, including a 10km and a 5km walk along the Sea Point Promenade.

All participants will receive a medal, refreshments, as well as access to a free live concert at the finish line. 

Each entry fee enables the Peninsula School Feeding Association to provide 31 school children with a nutritious breakfast and lunch. In addition, the proceeds from the sale of t-shirts at the event will also contribute to this initiative.

Where: Start at Stephan Way, Green Point and end at Green Point Cricket Club.

When: Sunday, August 31, from 8am.
